Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that midfielder David Silva is likely to miss the weekend match with Bournemouth after sustaining a knock in midweek.
The Spanish international missed the club's Champions League win against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday, which was delayed due to inclement weather, forcing the players to take one less recovery day.
“I don’t think tomorrow will be enough. I didn’t see the doctor or David. I don’t think it’s a big, big problem but it happened two days ago so I don’t think he’ll be able to play," Guardiola said.
“We had for the weather one more day regeneration, now we have one less but it is what it is. We have to use the players every few days.”
